2. I have audio but no video, what's wrong?
The most common reason for this problem is that the
video codec needed to render the video wasn't installed
or downloaded correctly. The Windows Media Player should
automatically download the correct codec when you attempt
to view a video with a new codec. You simply need to
accept the download, and be patient. It may take 10-30
seconds for it to get around to letting you know what
it's doing.
3.That sounded good but it didn't
work. CODEC issues for Internet and Quick Tips
The CODECs used to stream the online "Quick Tips" are
all standard Microsoft CODECs. If the content will
not play or you receive an error that says you don't
have the appropriate CODEC then you have a couple of
options to try. First, upgrade the Windows Media Player,
the latest version will have all the latest CODECs
installed by default. Also, you can make sure you are
connected to the internet and try to watch the videos
again, be patient. If the video doesn't start the media
player SHOULD attempt to download the CODEC automatically
from the Microsoft website, but it may take a few minutes
to kick in based on your net performance. Lastly, you
may re install the latest version of Internet Explorer,
it also has the latest Windows Media Player and CODECs
in it. Get the CODECS HERE
4. The video plays in short
bursts or the sound stutters and stops.
Your Internet connection, (bandwidth), is not fast
enough to stream the content you've selected or the
server is VERY busy or there is a physical disruption
between you and our server.
Check your bandwidth. Here are some places to try.
You should get 46Kbps or higher to view the videos

If your bandwidth is OK then try again later.
5. I see the Windows Media logo
moving but I never get the video or audio?
This is generally solved at your end by your network
administrator. The normal internet protocol is HTTP://.
Most network admins automatically allow this protocol
through their firewall or other security. The Windows
Media files are streamed using MMS://. This protocol
is less known and so is not allowed in by default.
Contact your network admin and have them allow Windows
Media or the MMS:// protocol. This may also be listed
as Netshow. View this articel from Microsoft covering
firewalls and video streaming.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/serve/firewall.asp
This can also be caused by a physical problem between
you and our server. Try again later.
6. How do I know what version
of the media player Ihave?
For most Windows machines you can find out using this
method. Select Start>Programs>Accessories>Entertainment
and select the Windows Media Player. Once the player
has launched you can select Help>About Windows Media
Player and it will display some information including
the Version number similar to this: Version: 6.4.09.1121
